FEATURE STORY – YOU, Part I: CONTENT (Canvas Upload)
For this assignment you will be creating a multimedia web-based Feature Story to introduce yourself to the class. Part I will be creating the content, Part II will be porting that content to the class website (off canvas) using a provided template.
CONTENT REQUIREMENTS
TEXT -
Turned in as Word document (docx)
Roughly 10 paragraphs minimum of text about your current professional background -
PHOTO –
Turned in as a file on canvas (use Office 365 as a shell to drop off)
A semi-professional or better jpg or png format picture of yourself (just you)
It can be taken with a cellphone, but you should be wearing decent clothing against a neutral background with good lighting and with no additional people in the image (including cropping them off).
VIDEO –
Turn in by uploading the video to Studio within Canvas
A short video (45 s to 1.5 minutes) talking about a person in your field that you admire professionally and why? How have they inspired you? A news related organization can be substituted for a person if appropriate.
This can be taken with a cellphone or recorded from your laptop but, like your picture – you should be wearing decent clothing against a neutral background with good lighting.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
'Team' selection for your team for remainder of the semester will be based on the content provided in this assignment and/or any additional requested information. Providing a good balance of skills on each team is the goal. Please be honest about your strengths and weakness in writing, photography and video. If you have any audio or podcasting skills it would also be great to mention.
Information on formatting and customizing the template (and the HTML template) will be provided in Part II.
